Apple and Pear Class have been continuing to learn about the story of 'The Gruffalo'. In Maths we have been continuing to learn what is one more than a number. In Read, Write Inc we have been learning to recognise and write 'm', 'a', 's', 'd', 't', 'i', 'n', 'p', 'g', 'o', 'c', 'k', 'u', 'b' and 'f'. We have also been using our Fred fingers and sound buttons to segment and blend words like 'fig', 'kit', 'bat' and 'fit'. In Literacy we have been drawing 'The Gruffalo' and labelling him with adjectives using our phonic knowledge. In Topic we have been making our own character puppets and masks to help retell the story and our own Gruffalo face masks. On Remembrance Day Apple and Pear Class learnt about how we wear poppies on this day to remember the people who died during World War I and to say thank you for what they did. In PE we have been learning to travel and dance around the hall as a character from the Gruffalo story. Next week we will be learning about 'The Gruffalo's Child'.
Home Learning - We have uploaded the home learning for this week via Microsoft Teams. We have also uploaded some Read, Write Inc quizzes onto Oxford Owl. Your child's Oxford Owl login is in the front of their reading record.
Hope you have a lovely weekend
