Apple and Pear Class have been learning about the story 'Oliver's Vegetables'. In Maths, we have been continuing to learn about 2D shapes. The children have created pictures using the 2D shapes. In Literacy, we have been drawing a vegetable and then writing a sentence to describe what they look like using our phonic knowledge. Apple and Pear Class are fortunate this term to have a PE coach who is teaching us PE. This week we have been learning to kick and stop a ball with some control and accuracy. On Monday we were very lucky as we had an author come and visit us. He told us a story and we had to add sound effects and actions. On Thursday the children planted their own vegetable seeds. They planted carrot, parsnip, beetroot and spinach seeds. We spoke about what seeds need to grow. In topic this week the children chose a vegetable and they used tissue paper to fill their vegetable outline. Today was Comic Relief Day. Thank you very much for your kind donations.

Numbots & Times Tables Rockstars - We have created a Numbots and Times Tables Rock Stars account for your child to use. There will be different number activities for them to answer on the Numbots account. Please do not worry about the Times Tables Rock Stars account yet as we will be learning to count in 2's, 5's and 10's later on in the year.

Oxford Owl - We have added some more books onto your child's oxford owl account for you to read at home if you wish.

Mother's Day KM Supplement - The children drew pictures of their Mummy and wrote why they are special to them. They will be appearing in the Maidstone Kent Messenger next Friday. Please don't miss it!

We hope you have a lovely weekend.
