Another busy and cold week!! In Literacy we wrote our hot write based on describing settings linked to The City of Ember. We have been using our creativity to describe what we know about Ember and the Unknown Regions and linked this to Art to create our setting using watercolour.

In Maths, Year 5 have been looking at Roman Numerals and learning them. They have also been problem solving. Year 6 have been learning about co-ordinates. They have been learning how to translate and reflect shapes.

For topic, we have looked at Futurism for Art and researched Futuristic artists, looking at their artwork. We have tried to replicate their work. We also discussed what Mary would look like if she was chosen today to be Jesus' mother in RE. The children did some artwork to represent their ideas.

In PSHE, we have been learning about healthy lifestyles and how to plan a healthy meal. We used the NHS calorie checker to find out how many calories were in the foods we eat. We were very surprised.

The week was finished off with Christmas Jumper Day. We are now getting excited as we are nearly in our last week of the term.

Have a lovely weekend.
