This week in Literacy, we have finished the story of The 100 Mile an Hour dog. We have written diary entries and predictions. Next week we are going to write a book review on it.

In Maths, Year 5 have been recapping telling the time and using this knowledge to solve problems involving time. Year 6 have continued to solve problems. In our class, as a mixed group, we have solved problems together.

In our topic, we have focussed on Science. This week we have looked at air resistance and investigated whether the bigger the surface area, the more air resistance there is. The children used their Maths skills to measure different sized materials to make a parachute and to explore and time their drops. The children had so much fun exploring this.

We also looked at what 'Boycott' means with reference to the Olympics and had a great discussion about it.

Next week is the Year 5 and 6 residential. We hope everyone has a fabulous time.

Those children who are not going on the residential should come into school on Monday in their PE kit. On Tuesday they should come into school in Forest School clothes.

Have a lovely weekend.
