What a beautiful sunny week we have had! Summer is on its way!

Can you please make sure your child brings in a water bottle and that they have sun-cream on, as the weather warms up after the Easter break.

In Literacy this week, we have been planning and writing our newspaper reports based on The Pig Heart Boy. Next week we will continue this theme and create our own newspaper.

In Maths, Year 5 have continued with their learning on percentages and decimals. Year 6 have been learning about ratio and problem solving with ratio.

We are beginning to conclude our topic learning. We have learnt some great facts about evolution and animals. We have also found out about the human body. We have looked at the brain, and the children should have looked at other organs as part of their home learning.

We are finalising our dance routines in P.E. If you would like to come and watch their dance, please come to the back of the hall at 2.50pm on Thursday 31st March, where the children will perform it for you.

Our tadpoles continue to hatch and grow. If you would like any, bring in a container with a lid and I can give some to the children at the end of the day.

Next Thursday (31st), parents of Year 6 are invited into school to find out about SATs which will take place in the week beginning Monday 9th May. Please let me know if you can attend. This will be in Cedar Class.

Have a lovely sunny weekend.
