What a busy term we have had! Our Year 6 have completed their SATs and are beginning their transition into secondary school. They are busy planning their end of year activities.

In Literacy, we have completed our learning on poetry. We planned and wrote poems about the Queen to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, some children sung their poem. We finished the week by writing a nonsense poem.

in Maths, Year 5 have been looking at position, reflection and translation of shapes. Year 6 have been solving problems using all 4 calculations to solve mysteries. They have also planned and budgeted for a theme park creation.

In topic we have finished our learning using Sketchup, where we have designed and built a building. In PSHE we have been looking at stereotypes and discussing them. In Science we have been exploring light and how shadows are cast.

We have completed our course of swimming lessons. The children thoroughly enjoyed these lessons and had fun in the pool this week as they went in the fun pool.

P.E. will continue to be on Friday next term. The children must wear their P.E. kit and not football kits/tracksuits or shorts that are too short. The P.E. kit is black leggings/tracksuit bottoms/shorts and their team colour T shirt. Jewellery must not be worn on P.E. days.

Home learning will be set on Teams for the half term.

We hope you have a lovely half term break. We will see you on Tuesday 7th June.
