We are hurtling towards the end of the term!
This week in Literacy we have been planning, writing and editing our own poems. We have realised how difficult it is to write a poem, due to the language required, the layout and trying to make it rhyme.
In Maths, Year 5 have continued to problem solve with fractions by adding and subtracting them. Year 6 have been converting measures: l to ml, cm to mm, m to km and vice versa. There has been a lot of information to take in and remember. Please talk with your child about measurements.
In Science, we created a new living thing that we had to classify and find out where it would belong in the animal kingdom.
In PSHE we have explored resilience and how to devise strategies to make us more resilient.
In RE we created a peace tree, by thinking of ways to keep the peace around the world.
In DT, linked to ICT, we are designing our bridges that we would like to be built.
Next week is the last week of term.
