Good Morning,

How are you getting on with the science experiments?
If you are having difficulty doing some of the experiments, see if you can watch them on YouTube.
Don't forget to take photos and send them to me.

We hope you're enjoying our new story: Revenge of the Supervillains

Today's home learning is:

1) Read chapter 2

2) Complete the online activities

3) Complete the writing activity:

During this chapter Mandrake would have gone through and felt a huge range of feelings and emotions. You could say that she went on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster during this chapter.

In short she:

  • Saved someone using her superpowers
  • Thought she was going to get into trouble for using her superpowers
  • Thought she got away with using her superpowers
  • Did get in trouble for using her superpowers (even though she was just trying to do the right thing)
  • Saw her old head teacher on TV saying he was plotting her demise
  • Was trapped and threatened by other children because they thought she was a spy for the villains

Wow, plenty of ups and downs for Mandrake to deal with.

Today, explain the feelings and emotions that Mandrake may have felt throughout this chapter.

Explain how and why she would have been feeling how she was.

Try to make direct references to the text.

Challenge: Describe the effect on the body (her hair stood on end, a shiver shot up her spine etc).

Tomorrow we'll be moving onto Chapter 3
