Welcome to the last week of this academic year, and what a year it's been!!
I would like to say a massive 'Well Done' to all of you who have kept up with the home learning and 11+ practice if you are registered to sit the Kent Test in September (if you are in Year 6 next year).
Thank you to those of you who have emailed me regularly, some of you emailed everyday, and I loved that. Thank you parents and carers, you have also been amazing by supporting your child with their home learning and emails.
Although lock down has eased, stay safe and adhere to the Government guidelines.
To the Year 6, I wish you all the best in Year 7, I shall miss you. To the Year 5, I look forward to seeing you in September in your new classes.
I would like to wish you all a happy and healthy summer holiday. Year 5, I'll see you in September!!

We hope you enjoyed the book you chose last week.
Below you’ll find the writing activities for the final three days of this academic year. They won’t be following Fiction Express, instead they’ll be more open-ended activities.
Write a recount of your time at Park Way Primary School.
Write a recount of your time in Year 5
Create an acrostic poem or limerick about either ‘PARK WAY PRIMARY SCHOOL’ or ‘LOCKDOWN’ or both if you want to.
An acrostic poem has the main word(s) going vertically down the page and relevant words coming off each letter of the main word(s).
A limerick is a humorous poem consisting of five lines. The first, second and fifth lines must all have the same amount of syllables (seven to ten) while rhyming and having the same verbal rhythm.
The third and fourth lines must have the same amount of syllables (five to seven) and they too must rhyme with each other and have the same rhythm.
Write about what you’d like to do and/or achieve during the summer holidays.
You could start your writing with:
During the summer holidays I’d like to…
By the end of the summer holidays I’d like to have…
