Well done everyone for another excellent week in Cherry Class!
We've started in earnest our text 'Kensuke's Kingdom' and have made some great inroads into the story. The children wrote some beautiful pieces linked to the character's feelings of being alone on the island, with just his dog for company......or so he thinks!!
In Numeracy, Year 5 have looked at number sequences and negative numbers, using temperatures and number lines to assist with this aspect of their learning. Year 6 have looked at rounding large 6 and 7 digit numbers.
In RE, we have looked in more detail at Islam, and looked at how Muslims show commitment to their faith and god through adhering to the 5 Pillars of Islam.
Yesterday, we had a very enjoyable football session in the sunshine on the field with two PE teachers. Some excellent warm up drills involving dragons, knights and a football!!
Have a great weekend everyone
Mr Ramsden and Mrs Morris
