The end of the second to last week and I write this with the sun shining, and everyone (again) having worked to their maximum and produced some fantastic learning throughout the week.
In Literacy the children planned and wrote their newspaper reports based on our class text 'The Pig Heart Boy'. They used features such as facts and opinions, quotations and columns successfully.
In Numeracy, Year 6 looked at 'ratio' throughout the week, whilst Year 5 spent the week investigating percentages, fractions and decimals.
We looked at the 'brain' in some detail this week in science and looked at the different parts and how each part controls a particular aspect of our lives (such as memories, responses to danger and speech.)
In PE, the children showcased their ' Grease Lightning' dances to each other - one more week to go and then we'll show another Year 5/6 class!
The children also engaged in Spanish and PSHE lessons with Mr Bowles and we even got 10 minutes outside in the sunshine at the end of today on the field!
Have a great weekend everyone
See you on Monday
