Week ending Friday 3rd December 2021

Another week down, another week of excellent learning showcased!

In Literacy, we are now about halfway through 'City of Ember' The children wrote a letter in role to the Mayor in the story and both myself and Mrs Morris were very impressed with their contents and use of emotive language. The children also enjoyed the opportunity to work as detectives this week to decipher clues to a (very) important letter that one of the younger member of the story decided to put in her mouth and eat!!

In Numeracy, Year 5 have worked through area this week in both regular and irregular shapes, whereas Year 6 have looked at fractions and percentages.

We investigated 'goals' and goal setting in PSHE and the children have the opportunity to discuss short, medium and long term goals. Some of them were very aspirational, which was great to hear.

Have a lovely weekend everyone, if like me you are 'putting up' the Xmas tree/decorations this weekend, have fun!!

Take care

Mr Ramsden & Mrs Morris
