So, the end of our final week of on-line learning is upon us and the start of a new week in the classroom is about to begin! Exciting times.
I was pleased that so many children children logged on this week and sent through some fantastic learning for myself and Mr Bowles to look at and mark. We have started our new class text 'Cosmic' and have gained a greater understanding of the author's style (a lot of humour!) and I look forward to reading about Liam's further adventures in space next week!
Year 5 have produced some excellent learning linked to addition and subtraction of fractions. I realise at times it has been tricky to complete the learning on-line but a big thank you to all the children who took great efforts over their learning and sent it in - similarly to the Year 6 children with the learning linked to shapes.
Mr Bowles has been pleased with the effort so many of you have shown to your Duolingo sessions and even got me involved this week with the learning linked to planets and space in Spanish! (I haven't done Spanish for 30 years, so it was a bit of a struggle!)
On Monday, we start again in the classroom and I cannot wait to have a full class back in, and being able to do so much more with you all that I have been prevented from doing due to the school closure (science experiments and PE for example). The first week back we will revert to our usual timetable of Literacy and Numeracy in the morning, Topic on a Monday afternoon, Spanish and Topic on a Tuesday, PE / RE on a Wednesday, Science on a Thursday and finally Topic on a Friday afternoon.
On Monday morning please only bring your book bag, your lunch and a clear plastic pencil case if you have one - no worries if you don't, as the school will provide everything you need to complete your learning!
Enjoy the weekend everyone, thank you for your birthday wishes and I will see you Monday morning at 8.30am!
