Dear Elm Class pupils and parents/carers,
It is a very strange end to the academic year, and certainly not the one I had pictured in September. As we head into our final week before summer, it seems unfair not to be able to say a proper goodbye to such an amazing class. All the staff that have had the pleasure of working in Elm class this year would like to say a huge thank you to all the children who have brought a smile to our faces since the first day of Term 1, with their humour, dedication and hard work. We are so proud of each and every one of you the progress you have made, and the resilience, commitment and enthusiasm you have shown during the last few months away from school. We have loved seeing your learning and photos, and keeping up with you all as best as we can while knowing you are all staying safe. We would also like to thank all of the parents/carers for their efforts with home learning, emails, messages of support and wider support for your children this year. It is hugely appreciated by us all.
Sadly we are saying goodbye to Mrs Turvey and Miss Toms on Wednesday as well, as they leave to start careers in different schools. I know you will join me in wishing them every possible success. If you have a personal message you would like to send, please email the office: email@example.com and I will make sure they get to see them before they leave. They have both expressed their sadness that they will not get to say a proper goodbye to you all, but fully intend to come back and visit when they are free and safe to do so.
Work is attached below should you wish to complete activities during the last few days. I hope you all have a safe and relaxing summer holiday. Enjoy yourselves, and please remember to take photos or take note of all the things you get up to because I will be catching up with all of you when we return in September, whichever class you may be in! I cannot wait to see you all in person.
Mr Saunders, Mrs Turvey and Miss Toms.
