Hawthorn Class have been revising how to tell time using an analogue clock and it is lovely to see how confident we have become since the Autumn Term.
All of us can now read time to the nearest 15 minutes and most children can read time to the nearest 5 minutes. Some of us have even begun to solve problems involving time.
Here are some examples for you to try at home:
1) The time is quarter past 6. What was the time half an hour ago.
2) Tom is baking a cake. He puts the cake in the oven at 10 minutes past 4. The cake will be in the oven for 25 minutes. What time will Tom take the cake out of the oven?
