Well we have made it to the end of our 2 week isolation and it is lovely to see everyone back and happy in the classroom!
Despite being at home for the last week and a half, that hasn't stopped us from being superstars and completing amazing learning to a high standard. In our literacy lessons we have been focusing on using adjectives and similes to describe our focus text 'Into the Forest' and on Friday, we wrote our own poems describing the book using all our amazing ideas! We also discovered a love for Spelling Shed and the fun games to help up with our spelling which is amazing!
In maths, Year 2 have been busy looking at money this week. We can identify the different coins used in the UK and have started to look at adding different amounts together with the 'p' and '£' symbols. Year 1 have been just as busy recapping on shape, addition and subtraction showing how well they have remembered their learning this term :)
Our afternoons have been fun packed with science, art and geography lessons! We created some outstanding pieces of artwork with a silhouette of a skyline which were a delight to look at.
We are now learning our songs for the Christmas Carol service that we will be filming next week and uploading to a private YouTube channel just for parents. Please remember to fill in your media permission forms that were sent out this week to ensure that your child can be filmed for our Christmas Carol Service!
