Fantastic week 4!

Hello everyone! :)

What a spectacular week Ivy Class has had! We have been super busy and I can safely say we are back in school mode!

In literacy, we are really focusing on our presentation and handwriting. Especially on Thursday, Ivy class produced some AMAZING work! We have tried so hard to make sure we are segmenting and blending words to try and spell correctly. It has been tricky but we are getting there! In addition to this, we are really trying hard to include capital letters and full stops to punctuate our sentences! In Maths we have been counting forwards to and backward from 20. We tried super hard to start at random numbers between 0 and 20 to test our knowledge on counting. In PE we continued to focus on our coordination with a focus on jumping and skipping. In RE, we focused on kindness; looking at how the Salvation Army shows kindness to everyone through their charity work. In topic, we focused on Queen Victoria. In science, we performed simple experiments which focused on investigating the 5 senses. I can’t wait to see next week’s learning emerge!

Parent information

1.) As the weather has begun to turn, we are asking that all children bring a pair of wellington boots into school so we can still access the outdoors for our learning. Please send these into school over the next two weeks in a plastic bag that has your child's name on them.

2.) Home learning is handed out on a Friday and is due back the following Thursday. We would be grateful for your continued support with completing their home learning and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via our class email:

3.) Please remember to sign your child's reading record so we can change their books. We have already seen some amazing progress with reading since our return to school and we want to keep this up! ALL reading records are collected on a Friday to see how we are getting on reading at home.
