Our week learning at home!

Proud of you!

Proud of you!

Happy Friday!

Wow; what a week we have had! Learning has taken place in a very different way this week in Ivy Class and that is because we have all been at home!

Firstly I would like to say HUGE thank you to all the families and friends who have supported their little Ivies at home! You have all been amazing and have played a crucial role in your Child’s learning so thank you very much!  I hope you have had so much fun together completing all the different tasks throughout the week!

So this week, what have we been up to?
We have been busy in Maths comparing and ordering groups of objects and numbers as well as being able to use our reasoning skills to investigate and solve word problems. In literacy, we have had a go at writing our very own poems and sentences, we have performed some amazing poems, used expression and actions as well as learnt what similes are. We have even been practicing segmenting and blending with Geraldine the giraffe - busy busy busy!!
We investigated how humans grow and help animals grow and created our very own natural piece of art and inspired by Andy Goldsworthy! In addition to that we have reflected on the Christmas story. Fantastic!

Also this month, we have also had some cheeky little visitors; be sure to keep an eye out each day for the our little friends!

Reminders:
We will be returning to school on Wednesday 9th December.

I look forward to seeing everyone! Stay safe and have a fantastic weekend!
