Wow! What an amazing third week into the second term we have had!
We have been super busy in all of our subjects, so here is what we have been up to:
In Literacy, we have been exploring the world around us; we read a book called Meerkat Mail where Sunny the Meerkat goes on an adventure and sends postcards to his family about where he is. We have pretended to be meerkats this week and have been writing postcards about all the places we've looked at. We are currently exploring the rainforest! We have been thinking carefully about how we should punctuate our sentences, deciding whether we should use a '!', '?' or '.'.
In Maths, we have been shape superstars! We have been identifying 2D and 3D shapes, drawing them and sorting them into groups. We played shape bingo to put our shape knowledge to the test... which we were amazing at! BINGO! :)
In PE, we continued to work on our multi-skills: throwing, catching, jumping and skipping. Next week, we will apply these skills to a game! I wonder what we will play...
In Science, we discussed animal groups: fish, birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles. We then looked at how although two animals can be mammals, they can still have different features.
In RE, in the lead up to Christmas, we are looking at how and why Christians celebrate Christmas. This week, we learnt about symbols of Christianity.
Have a fab weekend everyone; see you Monday! :)
