Hello everyone! :)
Our Incredible Ivy's have been hard at work this week!
In Literacy, we have been focusing on our sentence structure. We are trying our best to read our sentences aloud and check if they make sense. In addition to this, we are making sure we include our capital letters (which we know goes at the beginning of a sentence, for I and for names) and full stops. In handwriting, we are making sure we lead in and lead out of our letters so we are able to join them. In Maths, we have continued to look at number and place value – focusing on using mathematical language – “more than” and “less than”. In Topic, we have continued to dive into the Victorian era and have explored roles people had back then depending on their wealth. We learnt that rich children got to go to school (which wasn’t fun like nowadays) and poorer children went to work! In PE, we have practiced our throwing, skipping and jumping, focusing on our hand-eye coordination skills. We were a bit wobbly to start off but by the end, we were superstars! In RE, we continue to focus on how we can be kind to each other: help, give, share and smile! In Science, we learnt how to ask scientific questions AND observed skittles transform into a rainbow swirl (but we know this is because the sugar dissolves into the warm water!)
We have had a super fantastic week and we look forward to seeing what next week brings! :)
