Maple class have been working very hard again this week. In Literacy, we have been identifying the features of a narrative text and have started to plan our own story, understanding that our narrative needs to be in chronological order. We have used story mountains and story picture boards to help us plan our own narrative.
In Maths, both Year 3 and Year 4 have been continuing to learn about fractions. Their knowledge is becoming more secure which is great to see. Using visual images of pizza, cake and chocolate bars has helped children's understanding of what fractions make up a whole.
In Topic, we have learnt about Boudicaa and why she is such an important figure in British history. In RE, we have been discussing the significance of the crucifixion of Jesus. In Spanish, we have learnt vocabulary for different family members. Our focus during Art has been to practice our colour mixing skills. We have enjoyed ending the week outside in the sunshine completing fun OAA (outdoor adventurous activities).
Have a lovely weekend!
