Maple Class have had a busy first week back – and they have only been in school for 4 days! Year 3 have been learning about multiplication and which methods to use when solving multiplication problems. Year 4 have been learning about different units of length and have started solving problems involving adding and converting different units.
In literacy, we have started a new focus text for our narrative genre. Our text is called Marcy and the Riddle of the Sphinx and the children have really enjoyed the book so far and cannot wait to continue it next week!
Our new topic is called Temples, Tombs and Treasures and the children have explored lots of different artefacts and experiences so far and we are looking forward to getting stuck into the rest of the topic. Our new science topic is Light and, this week, the children completed various activities exploring light and colour.
Please remember that Maple Class have P.E. on Tuesdays this term. Please send your child in full P.E. kit for these days and remove earrings prior to the start of school.
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
