We hope the children have enjoyed coming in in their own clothes today for Children in Need, it has been a
very busy week and it has been lovely to see them in their clothes that make them happy today.
In their Literacy the children have been looking at lots of different writing features in preparation for their final stories next week. They have looked at how to use figurative language, set a mood and describe settings in detail.
In Maths, Year 4 have started looking at methods for multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000 using
mental methods. The children have then used this to complete problem solving questions. Year 3 have
been continuing to look at multiplication patterns and different methods.
In topic, the children have been looking at how the lives of the Egyptians were different to our own,
including clothing, food and the class system. We then looked at Egyptian houses and enjoyed building our
own houses from junk modelling based on what we had learnt. In Science we looked at how to protect our
eyes from light and why looking at the sun can be dangerous. We created our own leaflet and designed
their own sunglasses, which they loved testing out.
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
