National Poetry Competition

Divine Chocolate and Christian Aid have invited us to take part in an exciting poetry competition themed around chocolate!

You can choose any type of poem you like. Some suggestions are, an acrostic poem, shape poem, haiku, free verse, rhyming poetry or narrative poetry. The poem has to focus around where the journey of chocolate begins.

More information can be found in the Competition Guidance on the left. There is also a template on which you can write your poem and also an entry form.

Prize

The winning students will get a film of their poem being read by Onjali Rauf, winner of the Waterstones Children's Book Prize 2019. They will also get book tokens and lots of delicious Divine Chocolate goodies! How good does that sound?

Closing Date

Please can you email me all entries by 1st June to ensure that I have enough time to send them off on your behalf.

Good luck and enjoy!
