Once again, I am so impressed and proud of you all for completing your learning and submitting it. I hope you are as proud of yourselves as I am of you. This is what we have been up to this week:
We started to learn about instructions. We learnt about 'Imperative/Bossy Verbs' and played a game of 'Simon Says' to identify these. We then imagined ourselves as Traction Man and wrote instructions on making a sandwich. On Friday we designed and created our own board games and next week we will be writing instructions on how to play these games.
We continued to learn about the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. We sorted 3D shapes using Venn diagrams and we explained why statements about 2D and 3D shapes were always, never or sometimes true. We also created our own robots using 3D or 2D shapes.
This week in Science we learnt about climate change and talked about why there are more greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere than normal. We then did experiments at home to illustrate what is happening to the polar ice caps. In Topic, we continued to learn about materials and sorted objects according to the properties of their materials.
You all deserve a restful break this weekend. I look forward to teaching you again next week.
