We've had a wonderful week in Rowan Class.
In Literacy, we've delved further into our story Kensuke's Kingdom. Michael and his family have travelled half way around the world, stopping at many wonderful places along the way. We are now at the point were Michael has gone over-board and has been washed up on an island. Through this we've written character descriptions, looked into adverbial phrases, written post cards as well as completing some drama activities relating to Michael's first moments on the island.
In Maths our Year 5's have been learning about negative numbers through temperature while our Year 6's have been learning about rounding numbers up to 1,000,000 to a given degree of accuracy.
In topic we've looked into categorising animals to design our own zoo as well as using water colours to create amazing island scenes.
Really great learning from all this week.
Have a great weekend.
