Middle School - Year 3 & 4
- English: Following the National Curriculum: Spoken Language, Reading (word reading & comprehension), Writing (transciption (including spelling and handwriting) and composition (including vocabulary, grammar and punctuation)).
- Maths Year 3: Following the National Curriculum: Number (number & place value, addition & subtraction, multiplication & division, fractions), Measurement, Geometry (properties of shapes), Statistics. Teaching children to use and apply their mathematical skills, knowledge and understanding and solve problems runs throughout each programme of study.
- Maths Year 4: Following the National Curriculum: Number (number & place value, addition & subtraction, multiplication & division, fractions including decimals), Measurement, Geometry (properties of shapes & position & direction), Statistics. Teaching children to use and apply their mathematical skills, knowledge and understanding and solve problems runs throughout each programme of study.
- Science (year 1 of a 2 year cycle): Electricity, Living Things and their Habitats, Animals, including humans, Sound, Forces and Magnets, Investiagtions.
- Science (year 2 of a 2 year cycle): Plants, States of Matter, Sound, Light, Rocks, Forces, Animals, including humans.
- R.E. (taught over a 2 year cycle): Hinduism, Sikhism, Special Books and Sacred Texts, Stories of Key Religious Leaders, God, Events in Jesus Life, Rules Special Places, Sacred Spaces, Christmas, Easter.
- P.E.: Dance, Games, Gymnastics, Swimming, Athletics.
- PSHE: SEAL.
- PMFL: French / Spanish.
- IPC (year 1 of a 2 year cycle 18/19): Land, Sea and Sky, Scavengers and Settlers, ICT and Computing, Shake It!, Bright Sparks, Let's Plant It, Gateways to the World.
