Positive wellbeing through play

At the moment we are unable to let our children run free outside. Unless of course we have a garden, so if you haven’t a garden or even if you do have one, why not build a den indoors; have a picnic in it for lunch. When my children were younger and as they grew older, we spent many an afternoon covering the dining table and chairs with blankets, sheets, anything we could find and piling pillows and cushions into the cave or castle we had just built. We hid from trolls, monsters, dragons drawing from their imagination and increasing their vocabulary. Then served a banquet of anything we could find in the cupboard.

If you are lucky enough, it tires them out and you get a few minutes peace. Below is a link to a site where they could listen to the daily story read by David Walliams.
