Adult Education

At Park Way we are very pleased to able to offer FREE and FUN courses run by Adult Education. These not only give parents a chance to develop their own skills and confidence but are also a really positive way to promote life-long learning and show our children that learning new skills is always a good thing!
Some of our courses are aimed specifically at enabling parents to be able to support their children in school. Others are for children and adults to take part in together.

We are keen to know if you have any suggestions regarding activities or courses that you and your children would be interested in trying, so please let us know and we will try to arrange it.

Courses coming up...

Bug Hunt
A one-off 2 hour session for parents / carers and their children to attend together on Wednesday 17th May. The course will include indoor and outdoor activities and will develop knowledge of local bugs as well as empathy with wildlife and habitat.

Family Language Course
We will be holding another course for adults whose first language is not English to develop their skills and confidence in using English to communicate with schools, doctors and so on. Dates to be confirmed.

Please see Mrs Louden to sign up for either of these courses.

Last term we had an ESOL (English language) course, a 'Flying Start' course to support parents in understanding how their children will be taught English and Maths, and a very popular Kite Workshop for children to work alongside their parents / carers to design and make their own kite.

Adults and children busy creating their kites ...                 proudly displaying the finished results!
