Term 2, Week 3
This week we have been learning about our story 'The Jolly Postman'. We have been looking at the structure of a story, including beginning, middle and end. We looked at the characters who were in the story to help us plot our storyboards. We had a good go at using our phonics to support writing parts of the story on our storyboard.
In Maths, we have been looking at shapes, including circles and triangles. The children were good at identifying theses shapes around the room and finding objects that were the shape of a circle and triangle.
In PHSE, we looked at sharing and being a 'good friend'. We wrote a list of all the things a good friend is and how this makes us feel.
In PE we looked at moving in different ways. We played rabbits and foxes to warm up and then looked at jumping in different ways, such as high, low, forwards, backwards.
On Friday we celebrated Children in Need. The children watched a short video explaining what Children in Need supports and why we have dressed up for charity. We then joined the live show which the children enjoyed and Jo Wicks activate. We had a great Friday!
