This week has been exciting for Apples and Pears as we have stayed for lunchtimes. This has been a very positive experience for the children and many have enjoyed eating lunch with their friends and playing on the large playground.
In Maths this week we have looked at numbers and spent lots of time playing number games and singing songs.
In Literacy we looked at our first story, Spot the Dog Starts School. The children were great at discussing how they felt when they first started school and comparing this to how they felt now. Most children said that they felt nervous at the start but they now feel happy and excited to be at school.
We have also spent this week looking at the different areas in our classroom and seeing how we can tidy and look after our resources. We have spent time with the EYFS teachers modelling how we can use the different areas with our friends. It has been lovely to see the children settle so well into big school life and become part of the Park Way family.
We are very much looking forward to our first full week next week!
Please, if you haven't already, could you bring a coat to school every day as the weather gets colder and more unpredictable.
Thank you for your support with settling the children into school.
We hope you have a lovely weekend!
The EYFS Team.
