Term 1 Week 1

It has been a busy first week back, we have already been busy learning the story of 'Cave Explorer' all about a little boy who finds Stone Age paintings in a secret cave in France. We have practiced making predictions for what we think will happen in the story. 

In Maths we have been playing games to review place value and addition methods. 

We also started learning about our new history topic: Stone Age Britain. We went to the field to build shelters and forage for food to think about how people in the Stone Age used to live. In Art we looked at Stone Age painting techniques, and practiced different drawing techniques using oil pastels. 

This term our PE days are Monday and Wednesday, please come to school in black shorts or jogging bottoms, trainers and a plain t-shirt the colour of your child's team. Children are expected to bring their reading records to school every day, and should record their reading daily.
