Thank you for all of the boxes you have sent in. We now have enough to finish our DT next week.
In English, we have a had a GPS (Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling) focus this week. We have learnt how to use brackets, commas and dashes for parenthesis. We have looked at apostrophes for contractions, modal verbs, hyphens and dashes and relative clauses. We will be focusing on applying these more in our writing from now on.
In Maths, Year 5 have completed their learning on fractions, using all 4 operations to solve problems. Year 6 have been introduced to ratio and how to work out ratios. They also looked at scaled drawings.
In Science, we completed our learning on the human life cycle by drawing a timeline of the aging process in humans.
In History, we found out about Al-Zahrawi and his impact on modern medicine.
In PSHE, we explored the significance of giving at Christmas and its emotional benefits.
In PE, we finalised our Fitness learning by videoing our own fitness programme that we created and planned last week.

Thursday 18.12.25 KS2 singing Christmas songs on the playground to parents at the end of the day.
Friday 19.12.25 Last day of term and class Christmas parties in the afternoon.
