Term 4 Week 6 2.4.26

What a wonderful term of learning and enjoyment it has been. As we come to the end of Term 4, everyone is ready for a well-earned break.
This week, the children have continued to work hard across the curriculum, and we are very proud of their efforts:
English
The children completed a range of Grammar and Punctuation tasks, supporting their ongoing writing development and providing valuable retrieval practice in preparation for Year 6 SATs.
Maths
Year 6 focused on angles in a triangle, learning that the total of the interior angles is always 180 degrees.
Year 5 explored statistics, developing their skills in reading and interpreting tables and charts.
Computing
In Computing, the children became travel agents, using their understanding of databases to search for flights and holidays. This was an engaging way to apply their learning in a practical context.
Science
We concluded our ‘Out of Africa’ topic by studying fossils and learning about the important contributions of Charles Darwin and Mary Anning.
PE
During PE session this week, we applied our skills to play doubles in Tennis and learnt how to score. We have definitely improved.
Spanish
We have now completed our unit on dates, with the children showing growing confidence in their language skills.
Music
In Music, the children used percussion instruments to practise keeping to a steady beat. This has been an enjoyable and popular topic for the class.
Looking ahead to next term:
