Welcome everyone to a new term and our first blog of the Easter Term (Term 4)
We are now halfway through the academic year unbelievably, but still have many months together of learning time!
In Literacy this week the children planned and wrote a story simply titled 'The Pig Heart Boy'. This is our way 'into' our new class text of the same title.
In Numeracy, Year 5 have been investigating decimals to three decimal places whilst Year 6 concentrated on area and perimeter of rectangular shapes and triangles also.
Science this term will be linked to evolution and adaption and we had our first lesson this week looking at how humans have evolved over the last 4 plus BILLION years!
In RE our topic this term is linked to Christianity and our first lesson was looking at particular sayings of Jesus' and determining what Jesus meant (i.e. love thy neighbour) and the challenges people faced in sticking to these sayings.
Finally in PSHE today we had a drama session linked to laws of the land and children took on the roles of a judge, defendant, lawyers, etc!
Have a good weekend everyone
