Welcome everyone to our penultimate blog of this term/2025! As ever, this week has simply whistled along and the class have been actively engaged in a range of activities in the classroom.
In Literacy, everyday we have done 'stand alone' Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling lessons ranging from apostrophes, modal verbs, brackets, dashes and hyphens. The children have worked really well everyday with their tasks and completed some excellent independent learning.
In Numeracy, Year 5 have (finally!!) completed their large block of learning linked to fractions and we have now moved onto an investigational task involving a theme park and a million pound budget! Year 6 have concentrated this week on the properties of ratio.
In Science, we looked at the human life stages from foetus to old age and the children had a lively discussion regarding what was possible at each stage of life, from toddler to child, to adolescent, adult, etc.
In RE we investigated the 'Golden Rule' of treating others as you would like to be treated and how various religions / holy texts put this idea into practise.
We will design our cars very shorty (thank you to all the parents who provided card for their child to bring in) and then build them next week, the final week of term!
Regards
Mr Ramsden and Miss StokesĀ
