Week ending 2nd April 2026

We have now reached the end of Term 4 and I cannot believe how quickly the school year is going!

In literacy, the children have been revisiting verbs, conjunctions and suffixes and writing sentences to include these.

In numeracy, Year 4 have been learning how to add and subtract fractions whilst Year 3 have been investigating the difference between volume and capacity.

As the culmination of our learning about castles, the children designed and made their own catapults as part of their DT learning.  They started by making a small prototype out of lolly sticks and elastic bands – firing plastic milk bottle tops before transferring their designs on a larger scale using planks of timber.  Shall we say – some where more successful than others!

Wishing you all a peaceful and relaxing Easter break.
