Week ending 3rd October 2025

What a wet and miserable Friday!

This week in literacy, the children have been writing the beginning of their adventure stories based around our class text of Robinson Crusoe.  Their ideas included being surrounded by sharks and surviving a tsunami!

In numeracy, Year 4 have been learning how to round to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000.  Whilst Year 3 have been very busy developing their skills to add and subtract.

In art we have been looking at the work of Damian Hirst and pointillism.  This has involved using cotton buds and the three primary colours of red, yellow and blue.

Finally please can you ensure that your children has a named coat in school.  As the weather is beginning to change and we never know when the rain will make an appearance.

Enjoy your weekend.
