Firstly, it was lovely to see so many amazing and unique costumes for World Book Day. I hope the children had a memorable day and enjoyed the book themed activities we completed. We have continued this theme during our literacy learning, focusing on the text Anansi and Spider Man. Today, children were invited to Apple and Pear classes to retell the story using the props they had designed and made.
In numeracy this week, Year 4 have been learning about improper fractions and how these can be converted into mixed numbers whilst Year 3 have learnt about whole numbers and the difference between the numerator and denominator.
For PE this term, we are focusing on Dance and are following a programme from the Royal Ballet and Opera School. It is exciting to introduce the children to a new experience and I am sure that they will find the experience worthwhile.
And finally, please ensure that your child is reading at home and that they are logging this into their reading record. Just 5 minutes a night adds up!
Enjoy the sunshine.
