Week ending 17.10.25

A busy final week of Term 1 and children have worked hard with their learning. In English, children wrote instructions for the pirate stew they made last week, and created their own revolting soup recipes for a pirate. In Maths, children have learnt how to add near doubles and found missing parts from a part-part whole model. We had 2 experiments in Science this week - investigating whether oil and water mixed and cleaning dirty coins using sodium bicarbonate, cola and vinegar. Children have continued learning about Islam and focused on the Qur'an this week. In art, children painted their pirate coins and even made special chests to contain them. Next term's topic will be The Great Fire of London.
