Merry Christmas from Rowan Class!

πŸŽ‰ The Last Day of Term (and of 2025!) πŸŽ„

Wow – we made it! The final day of the term is here, and what a term it has been! Full of learning, laughter and new opportunities. A huge WELL DONE to everyone for their hard work and determination! πŸ‘βœ¨

πŸ“š English

This week, the children got creative and wrote their own Christmas poems inspired by β€˜T’was the Night Before Christmas’. They finished the week by publishing their poems and turning them into beautiful Christmas cards. 🎨✍️

βž— Maths

For two days, we worked as a whole class to tackle Christmas-themed maths problems. The children used their multiplication skills to crack festive challenges. πŸŽ…πŸ”’
Year 6 also wrapped up their learning on ratio and proportion, applying their knowledge to solve some tricky challenges. πŸŽ„πŸ’‘

πŸ› οΈ DT

Our mornings were filled with design and engineering as the children built their own cars! πŸš— They were so well thought out and looked amazing. We even raced them down a slope to see which was the most aerodynamic – it was so much fun! πŸŽοΈπŸ’¨

πŸƒ PE

Christmas-themed games took over PE this week! Ask your children about The Grinch and The Polar Express games – they were a hit! πŸŽ„πŸš‚
(Just a reminder: PE will now be on Tuesdays and Fridays moving forward.)

🎈 Class Party

We ended the week with a fantastic class party to celebrate our term and being part of Rowan Class. Pass-the-parcel and musical chairs were the stars of the show! 🎁🎢

πŸ’Œ A Big Thank You

Thank you so much for your kind gifts. They are never expected, but they mean a lot to Ms Harris and me. ❀️
