Term 1 Week 8

This week in Literacy we have been looking at how to use the writing features we have looked at this year to create a mood in writing. We wrote setting and character descriptions based on Harry Potter to practice setting a scary and magical mood. 

In Maths Year 4 have been looking at area and how to find the area of shapes by counting squares. Year 3 have been looking at adding and subtracting 3 digit numbers with exchanges. 

In History we finished our posters on the changes from the Stone Age to the Iron Age and presented them to the class. In PSHE we discussed what we have achieved in our first term and what we are proud of.
