Week ending 23rd October 2026

Its hard to believe that we have now completed the 1st half term of this academic year.  It only seems like yesterday that I was meeting all the children for the first time.

We have now completed our learning on the Stone Age and I hope the children have been able to show you their wonderful salt dough jewellery.  I am sure you will agree, they are a work of art!!

In maths, Year 4 have been learning how to use the method of counting squares to find the area of a rectilinear shape. They then used their knowledge of area to plan a new classroom.  Whilst Year 3 have been learning to add and subtract up to 3 digit numbers including an exchange.  They then used this learning to solve word problems.

We have now finished our text, The Cave Explorers and will be moving on to Where the Forest Meets the Sea by Jeannie Baker.

Well done to all those that have read consistently throughout the term.  It really has an impact on so much learning within the classroom.

PLEASE NOTE OUR PE DAYS IN TERM 2 ARE MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

Have a lovely holiday.
