🌟 Rowan Class Weekly Update 🌟
What a busy and exciting first full week back we've had! 🎉
A huge well done to our Year 6 children who sat the 11+ test on Thursday. 📝⭐ They approached the day with confidence, calmness and maturity. We would also like to say well done to everyone else whose day was disrupted but who continued their learning brilliantly in Rowan and Cherry Class. 👏
✍️ English
This week, we completed our Cold Write, where the children wrote a diary entry about a journey they have had to make on their own. 📖
There were some fantastic ideas and creative writing on display! This piece will help prepare us for our exciting new class text starting next week: Goodnight Mister Tom. 📚✨

Year 6

In RE, we have started our new topic exploring life after death in different religions. 🌍🙏
This week, we discussed different beliefs about what happens after death and learned about a variety of viewpoints from around the world.
💻 Computing
Our Computing lessons have focused on algorithms and coding. Children have begun exploring how codes can be created and broken. 🔐💡
This led to some brilliant discussions about the incredible work carried out at Bletchley Park during the Second World War and the importance of code-breaking. 🕵️♀️📡
🍎 PSHE
This term's PSHE learning is all about healthy lifestyles. 🥗🍓
This week, we explored food labels, learning how to read them and understand what the information means so that we can make healthier choices. ✅
⚽🏀 PE
The children have continued developing their skills in Football and Basketball while focusing on teamwork, communication and sportsmanship. 🌟🙌
