We were off to a really good start this week and then the children came back, after the day off for voting, with renewed energy and strength! Well done everyone!
We started straight away with amazing learning during our Literacy sessions. We created Non-Chronological reports as our Cold Write Assessments. Amazing research was done to collect information about Carnivorous Plants - the children found really interesting information. We have also looked at when to use formal and non-formal language this week.
During our Maths learning this week, Year 3's continued to look at how to find a fraction of an amount. The Year 4's learnt how to recognise decimal and fraction equivalents of tenths making one whole. We were rounding decimals with 1 decimal place to the nearest whole number.
During our Science learning, we explored the requirements of plants for life and growth. We created our own experiments in small groups. We planted seeds in two different egg shells, labelled Egg 1 and Egg 2. Egg 1 we're leaving in the windowsill and Egg 2 in a dark cupboard. We'll observed it over a week and water it every day.
The children are extremely excited that it's Friday, because they are looking forward to the disco.
Just a REMINDER- PE is every Wednesday afternoon for Term 5.
Have a lovely weekend.
