Summer Term 1 - Week 2
Week 2
This week we have continued to learn to read time. The Year 1s have been learning to read time to the nearest half hour and Year 2s have been practising reading time to the nearest 5 minutes. We have also been solving problems involving time.
In English we recapped what a verb is and our aim was to be able to use a variety of verbs. We have learnt new verbs such as, pounced, meandered, scuttled and lurked and the children have been writing about 'the good old days' from the Last Wolf using verbs.
This week in Computing we begun to input and group data into a spreadsheet. We learnt what a cell, row and column is. In Art we have been looking at the work of David Best with the children identifying his techniques.
