Wow - another busy week!
This week in Literacy, we have identified and understood how to use alliteration, how to use rhetorical questions and also prepared short summaries to read aloud to a group. We read our summaries out loud, using intonation, tone and volume so that the meaning was clear.
In Maths, Year 3s and Year 4s have recalled and explored multiplication and division facts and learnt how to do the associated calculations. We have also applied our multiplication and division knowledge to problem solving.
For our topic learning, we investigated and understood the climate zone of a rainforest.
In science we continued classification and explored how we could classify animals. We really enjoyed sorting the animals. Then we had to think about the characteristics of the animals: were they vertebrates or invertebrates? Then we created a branching database to sort the animals, using yes or no questions.
In RE we have been learning to express our own ideas. We used drama to explore scenarios and thought about whether it was right or wrong and what the consequences should be when someone does something wrong.
Reminders
Have a lovely weekend.
