Welcome to the second week of amazing learning. The children have settled in extremely well and are adjusting to the new routines.
In Literacy we have been learning how to use descriptive language in our writing. We created our own amazing characters and described them, using expanded noun phrases and similes.
In Maths we are learning about place value and understanding the value of each digit in numbers. We are learning to read and write large numbers both in numerals and words. We are working with numbers up to 1000.
We have just introduced our topic for this term called Island Life and will be finding out about some islands around the world.
Our P.E. day is Mondays. Children can come to school in their P.E. kit.
Please wear the correct P.E. kit to school: Black shorts/leggings and their team colour T shirt and trainers.
All children should be wearing school shoes, except those who have a medical reason, and we have information about this. Trainers are not part of our uniform. Children may change into them at play time for football but must change back into school shoes after.
No jewellery should be worn during P.E. Lessons.
Home learning can be accessed on TEAMS.
Children should be reading everyday for at least 10 to 20 minutes. Reading record books should be signed by an adult after a child has read to them.
Have a great weekend everyone. See you all on Monday.
