The Value of Home Learning

All children at Park Way from Year R to Year 6 are expected to complete home learning tasks weekly.

There are a whole range of tasks that could be set, including:

• consolidation of in class learning.
• further practice of key skills including reading and times table practice.
• research related to learning already completed or in preparation for future learning.

All staff value home learning and the children's efforts and achievements are celebrated regularly in school. Team points and certificates are presented in classes and some home learning tasks are displayed around the school for others to see.

Following our home/school agreement, we expect all parents to support their children with their home learning.  Please speak to your child's class teacher if you have any questions about their home learning.
