Term 1 Week 1 Welcome

Welcome everyone to our first blog of the school year.

I hope you have all had a great holiday and are looking forward to the year ahead in Cedar Class. We have lots of exciting learning opportunities, interesting class texts to read, topics to explore and fun to be had along the way!

Just a reminder that our PE this term will be on both a Thursday and a Friday. Please send your child in to school on both of these days in their school PE kits, which must include a plain t-shirt of their house colour (or a white t-shirt). Please NO football shirts/kits or heavily branded sports t-shirts. This will be monitored and parents will be contacted to ensure our school policy is being followed.

It is lovely to see all children in the correct school uniform and school shoes - remember we do not accept trainers as footwear except on PE days.

If you have any questions or need to speak to me, I am available at the end of most school days to chat. The children will leave the classroom via the fire door at the end of the school day (3.15). I will be here to let the children out and am happy to talk if the need arises.

Reminders

Mobile phones are to be brought in by the children who walk to school or home alone only. A consent letter will be sent out via email.

11+ - this is for our Year 6 who have been registered and will take place on Thursday 12th September. 

I am so excited to get to know the children and have a year of great learning and some fun along the way.
